In September 2022, Hayato Sumino participated as a soloist in the Japan tour of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, regarded as the best in Eastern Europe. The live recording of Chopin's "Piano Concerto No. 1 in E minor, Op. 11" (conducted by Marin Alsop) took place at The Symphony Hall in Osaka. The Japan tour, held for the first time in 23 years, consisted of a total of 11 performances, many of which sold out, creating a wave of excitement throughout Japan. Marin Alsop, the conductor, is a distinguished maestro who has served as the music director of renowned orchestras and was a beloved disciple of Leonard Bernstein. This monumental work brings together the new generation pianist Hayato Sumino, who gained instant fame at the Chopin Competition, with a prestigious orchestra from Chopin's homeland, Poland, and a top-notch conductor.
